Today is Kezia's birthday!! Becky and Danielle made her Danish flags and put them up all over their kitchen this morning (it's a Danish tradition to have flags all over the place on your birthday). For lunch we went to Tanz-Hands and met Jordan there. Danielle asked the ladies working behind the counter if they would help us sing happy birthday when Kezia got her cake. They happily agreed and Danielle caught it all on video! It was awesome :)

After lunch Jordan hung out in my office designing my Save the Dates! She's a brilliant graphic designer! I LOVE how they turned out!! When work finished we moved the Save the Date designing into Cottage 7 where Danielle and I made a special pasta supper for Kezia (although it was mostly Danielle since I kept running back and forth between the counter and Jordan's computer). We'd been without power (other than with the generator) all day which is why we cooked on the gas stove in Cottage 7. Once supper was made and Kezia was done working with the kids we took the food into my room for more privacy since there were guests staying on campus. We had a great meal and then Danielle rushed up to the apartment to grab a candle and brought out the dessert: a whole bowl of uncooked banana bread dough! Kezia loves the stuff so much she sometimes eats half of it before actually putting the dough in the oven to bake so we decided to forgo the baking this time and just enjoy the dough. It had been hidden in the freezer so it was deliciously cold. Kezia loved her dessert. We even got a video of her surprised reaction! (Hopefully we'll be able to upload it on Facebook sometime soon so watch for a link on here to that in the near future.)
